Allard Takes Reins From Havlin
March 4, 2004
Stepping up as American Legion Post 208 Commander is William Allard. Bill has been a Dixon resident since 1978. He joined Post 208 in 2000, after having served in the Army from 1996 though 2001, part of his duty in the Persian Gulf. Bill, who served as Post 208 Sergeant-At-Arms in 2003 and First Vice-Commander last year, is also an active member of the Dixon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Bill is a Realtor with Kappel and Kappel's office in Dixon. Bill is assuming the duties from Robert Havlin, who is stepping down for personal reasons. Allard will be Acting Commander until the installation of officers in July.
